Read this before you link a number.
WA Poster saves time, and it carries real risk. These notes are the honest version.
Your number can be banned. The app connects the way WhatsApp Web does, through an unofficial library. Automating an ordinary account can break WhatsApp's terms, and WhatsApp can restrict or ban the number without warning.
Not official
WA Poster is not made, endorsed or supported by WhatsApp or Meta. The official WhatsApp Business API cannot post into groups you already have, which is why this uses the unofficial route.
Post only where it is welcome
Use it for communities you run, with members who joined to hear from you. Do not use it for unsolicited messages or spam. Members who block or report your number do more harm than anything else.
Ways to lower the risk
Link a number used only for this. Keep at least 15 seconds between communities. Leave the variation option on. Do not send many rounds in one day. Keep a second admin in every community in case the number is lost.
Your login is sensitive
The auth folder is a full login to the linked WhatsApp account. Never share it, upload it or commit it. The repository ignores it by default.
Your data stays local
Messages, images, logs and schedules live in the project folder. The app does not report anything to the author or to any service.
No warranty
The software is provided as it is under the MIT license. You are responsible for what you send and for how WhatsApp treats your account.
Does the Business API work instead?
Not for this job. It sends template messages to individual people, and it cannot post into your existing communities.
